Married in King County, Washington in 1912. Their first child was born in Seattle, Washington but by late 1914 they returned to Grangeville, Idaho where they had four more children; all born before 1925.

Lena Rule
The name written on this photo is Lena Rule (the best memory mother could stir when asked to document the photo). The 1900 US Census lists her as Lena Reynolds, born in Virginia in April of 1896. Her relationship to family is listed as Help. The 1910 US Census lists her as 16 years of age and as a daughter. There is no record of formal adoption. She moved from Grangeville with the Nurss Family to Seattle, Washington in the 1920's. She worked in Seattle as a nurse. After that the family lost track of her.
